Frontier Psychiatrists was a VJ duo and Ersi was one of its two members. They created a title system for STFU, a two-day festival at BIOS in Athens and performed live visuals for Pridon at Synch Festival.
STFU, BIOS
The set reworked the periodic table into a moving grid of elements, projected at large scale above the crowd.
The grid also worked as a title system for the festival. At the end of each sequence, the element tiles formed the name of an artist on that weekend’s line-up.
The sample shown here introduces The Square Root of Evil, a Canadian electronic musician. Other sequences introduced Pridon and the rest of the artists.
Synch Festival, Technopolis
For Pridon’s set at Synch Festival in July 2007, Frontier Psychiatrists performed the visuals live, in the auditorium at Technopolis in Athens. Bands of teal, violet and olive stretch and shear across the screen.
